Vintage / Antique Spencer Buffalo Spectrometer
Up for sale is a vintage/antique spectrometer. With what little I've been able to find on this piece, American Optical purchased Spencer in 1935 ... so with these being labeled "Spencer Buffalo" I'm guessing it's pre-1935.
Most definitely not an expert, or even an amateur, when it comes to this vintage laboratory equipment, so don't really have any more information on it. But if you have any questions I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.
Please look at all my pictures closely. The unit is most definitely not "complete" ... it's missing the eye optics and appears to be missing some kind of "posts". Cosmetically it's in very good condition considering it's age. It does have a few minor scratches on the cast iron base.
